Introducing MR-IFR™
The Future of IFR Training
MR-IFR™ by MR-VFR™ is proud to introduce MR-IFR™, a revolutionary Mixed-Reality training platform designed specifically for flight schools, instrument students, and IFR proficiency training.
Our Solution
MR-IFR™ delivers a fully immersive instrument flying environment that provides one of the most realistic IFR training experiences available. Unlike traditional view-limiting device, students cannot "peek" beneath training goggles to see outside references. Instead, the system creates authentic instrument meteorological condition while allowing pilots to maintain full visibility of their aircraft's instrument panel and cockpit controls.
Using advanced Mixed-Reality technology, MR-IFR™ simulates a wide range of IFR conditions, enabling students to develop and refine their instrument scanning, situational awareness, and decision-making skills in a highly realistic training environment.

Key Features
-
Fully immersive Mixed-Reality IFR training environment
-
Continuous visibility of aircraft instruments and cockpit controls
-
Eliminates the ability to look beneath training goggles for outside references
-
Realistic simulation of hard IFR conditions
-
Designed specifically for flight schools, CFI-I instructors, and instrument students
-
Enhanced safety while providing a more effective training experience
-
Coming soon: Dynamic Decision Height and Minimums Simulation
-
MR-IFR™ is developing advanced functionality that will allow instructors to program specific breakout altitudes and decision heights, including:
-
1000 feet AGL
-
500 feet AGL
-
200 feet AGL
-
At the selected altitude, the headset will automatically transition from the simulated IFR environment into passthrough mode, allowing the student to see the real-world runway environment and surrounding terrain through the aircraft windows-just as they would when breaking out of the clouds during an actual instrument approach.
